Google Buzz, Code Search, the
University Research Program for Google Search, iGoogle social features, Jaiku, and
several services provided by Google will be shut down.
These e-services that
Google decided to close haven't been trendy enough in online market, and
especially for Google trends.
- Google Buzz is going to be close in the next few
weeks. it's only reasonable to shut down Buzz, when in the market exists
Google+, a new launched social network that's actually trendy
- Code Search and its API will be closed for business on January 15th, 2012.
- University Research Program for Google Search, which helped a lot to academic researchers to get API access of search results, will terminate on January 15th, 2012.
- All social features of iGoogle will be closed on January 15th, 2012 in favor of Google+·
- Thе social updating feature Jaiku that Google acquired in 2007 will be shut down on January 15th, 2012.
Everybody
who dynamically uses one of these e-products should get back their
personal/professional information before shutdown. Of course, the services
including a built-in export feature can continue to work as normal until the
shutdown date.
Beside
the products mentioned above, numerous other Google products have been shut
down. Google Labs, which official closed
on October 14th
. Boutiques.com and Like.com also have been closed but now they redirect to Google
Product Search.
