Twitter Web Analytics is a new web marketing tool launched by Twitter on Tuesday. Web analytics should be a help guide for webmasters who rely on Twitter for content sharing. Online marketers will be able to get more data about website's traffic received through Twitter.

Twitter Web Analytics opens up new solutions and its main benefits are:

the amount of their content shared on Twitter,
the amount of traffic Twitter is sending to their website
the amount of Tweet Buttons performed.

Twitter stated in their announcement that their main vision is to help customers understand the value of Twitter and other social platforms.

Currently this free tool is in beta and Twitter promises that all website owners will gain access to web analytics in a few weeks. The new service was driven by BackType , the social analytics company that Twitter purchased in July 2011.
